Honeycomb Shades
Honeycomb Shades trap air in their hexagonal cells, creating insulation to help keep the surroundings at a comfortable temperature year-round.
Fabric types, each with a variety of colours, patterns, & textures:
sheer
light filtering
room darkening
day & night - one half of the shades allows light during daytime and other half blocks light during nighttime
Mechanisms:
regular (either with cord or motorized cordless)
top-down bottom-up (cordless, not motorized)
top-down (either with cord or motorized cordless)

Honeycomb cells unfold and lower from the top of the frame. Motorized cordless option is seen in the image on the left.
top-down bottom-up
The top of the shades can move down and the bottom can move up to manually adjust the shades into the arrangement you want.
top-down
The Honeycomb cells stay closed as it lowers to the bottom of window frame by cord so that you can see the open view through the window. Then the top of the shades rise to cover the window, starting with the lower portion.
